Akane and Kanon Sugawara are Tokyo's most formidable CSI detectives—sharp, relentless, and inseparable partners. Under the pulsing neon glow of Shinjuku, they comb the underground chamber for evidence in a crime case. After piecing together the final fragments of the puzzle, Akane heads toward police headquarters with the collected samples, while Kanon lingers at the scene, double-checking for anything overlooked in the dim underground chamber.

As Akane ascends the narrow hall, a shadow lunges from the darkness. The bad guy—having returned too late to erase his tracks—has only one option left: silence the detectives before the evidence reaches daylight. A hand clamps tightly over Akane's mouth, stifling her scream into a muffled gasp. She thrashes, but his grip is iron; he drags her back down into the main chamber, where Kanon is still checking the scene.

The criminal drags Akane forward, pressing his hand on her mouth. "Drop everything and surrender," he snarls at Kanon, "or your partner will pay."Kanon freezes, hands raised slowly. With no choice, she complies. The man produces a thick roll of silver duct tape and sets to work. He yanks Akane's arms behind her back, wrapping layer after layer around her wrists until the tape bites into her skin. Kanon receives the same treatment next—her hands cinched tightly.

He continues binding their torsos, winding the tape around their chests in cruel, overlapping bands that pin their arms immovably against their bodies. For the gags, he stuffs a filthy sock into Akane's mouth first, then seals her lips with a punishing wraparound tape gag—multiple tight loops that cover her from nose to chin, pressing her cheeks inward and silencing her completely. Kanon endures the same indignity moments later, her wide eyes meeting Akane's in shared helplessness and humiliation.

He binds their ankles together next, then makes Kanon sit onto a rickety metal chair while leaving Akane seated on the cold concrete floor. The two detectives stare at each other, bound and gagged, utterly unable to assist one another. Every attempt to shift or signal only tightens the tape further. 

Minutes later, the bad guy returns. He hauls Kanon down to the floor, then puts Akane into excruciating hogtie—wrists and ankles pulled cruelly together behind her back, as Kanon watches her friend humiliated.

The position is degrading, vulnerable, leaving her face on the grimy floor, breathing heavily through their noses as the neon flicker from above casts long, mocking shadows across their restrained forms. They remain there, helpless, as the bad guy gathers the evidence bags and slips away into the night—leaving Tokyo's finest detectives trussed, silenced, and defeated in the very crime scene they had worked so hard to unravel.
